J H Haskins, Shepton Mallet, Somerset

The Haskins name has been at the fore front of the local economy for over 70 years. The Haskins Group includes Retail, Trading Estate, Car Dealership, Hotel & other property interests in the area.

Signs Now were approached by them at the end of 2017 & they were looking to rebrand their identity to give a more up to date look to their business. We discussed their requirements and put them in touch with a trusted design agency who we have worked with over the years.

Once proposals were agreed we then suggested many options to undertake this new branding across the main Retail Park site. Given the size of the project we had to look at ways to be able to re-use existing structures where we could, thus providing savings.

The completed project & brand was launched in August 2018 with a very impressive range of external building & free-standing signs.

Honda Logistics, Swindon

Back in 2015, we were contacted by Honda Logistics in Swindon to discuss potential signs for their 2 sites in Swindon. They were rebranding their company which had not changed for 25 years & they needed to ensure that the parent company’s branding was successfully & accurately implemented.

We undertook several meetings, surveyed the sites and produced proposals which we developed with them. Once approved we then manufactured all signs in-house and installed the signs with our own fitting crews.

The project encompassed building signs, free standing signs, directional signs, reception signs & graphics applied to vehicles & artic lorries.
The project was a success & to this day we still provide them with signs, currently working on graphics for another 10 arctic trailers & cabs.

As Paul West, Divisional Operations Manager said at the time:

Changing our company name after 25 years was a major change to our business & in addition to this the use of our parent companies branding ensured it had to be right.
Jerry & the team at Signs Now, Bristol were professional from the first meeting to design & through to installation. The team at Signs Now were flexible with last minute changes & eased our minds with a pre-viewing at their site with the end product exceeding our expectations. Installation was seamless & the install team took time & care in the service they were providing. Thank you to Jerry & the team at Signs Now for the whole professional package.”

We have supplied well over 2000 signs across the country in offices & housing sites & complexes. We have continued our relationship with them to this day currently working on a new test site in London which will then be adopted across the country.

Eagle Strategic Properties, Cheltenham

Late last year we were consulted to provide an impressive main entrance sign into Eagle Tower, Cheltenham. We provided ideas and colour options all mocked up onto photographs so the customer could visualise the possibilities. We produced individual stainless steel letters with LED illumination inside each letter so at night a subtle halo light is cast back onto the grey fascia.

Christ College, Brecon

, , , ,

Christ College in Brecon is one of Britain’s most ancient schools; For three hundred years it was a Dominican friary before King Henry VIII established a school here in 1541 by Royal Charter. In 1855 the modern ‘public’ school was founded by Act of Parliament and they currently cater for around 350 pupils.

In 2011 Signs Now were invited to consult and quote on the supply of complete new signage for the school. Existing signs were aged (see right above) and not portraying the right image for the school.

Our first step was to visit the college and undertake a full site survey based upon their ideas and needs along with us suggesting signs looking at things from an outsiders’ point of view.

We then sat down and talked through options providing examples of previous projects along with samples. Once we had agreed on the ideal solutions we then produced a full itemised quotation along with a set of proposal drawings. The college provided us with their branding so we could do these drawings superimposed onto photos to accompany the quotation. The time and attention spent on detail during the survey, drawings and quote enabled the school to see exactly what was being proposed so they could make informed decisions on the ways forward.

As with all similar projects, all signs were then produced and fitted by qualified in house installers. We supplied a range of different Deluxe Post & Panel signs, and many wall mounted box tray signs.

All signs have been favorably received as Kieran Dempsey, Bursar of Christ College points out in the following testimonial.

Broadwalk Shopping Centre, Bristol

, , , ,

Broadwalk Shopping Centre in Bristol is a long established shopping destination based on the south side of the city and is a centre for the local community also staging events. Signs Now have been supplying all types of signs to Broadwalk for the last 13 years, and during that time we have developed a close working relationship based upon trust, efficiency and the supply of good quality signs. We have undertaken signs not only for the centre itself but for several of the actual shops within.

Over the years, we have produced a whole multitude of signs including simple vinyl graphics, directional signs, health and safety signs, banners, aluminium and acrylic wall signs, large bespoke freestanding and projecting signs as well as fascia signs. Having in-house production capabilities makes the supply of large bespoke signs possible and means we can keep control of larger projects.

When working in and around a shopping centre we need to adhere to safe working practices, providing risk assessments and when required only working when there are no members of the public nearby. We sometimes need to work at height and have trained and qualified fitters capable of doing so. As Tim Maloney the Centre manager says, “I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Jerry and the crew at Signs Now for all the help and advice over the years during our refurbishments and re-branding work. We have used you for a number of years now and have always received a first class service with a prompt response and fast turnaround”.

Bath Spa University

, , ,

We have been working for this University since 2004. The main campus is based on the outskirts of the World Heritage city of Bath, but have sites across the city & beyond. During this time, we have advised on all signage needs across their campuses, both internal and external. We have undertaken bespoke projects and have a good working relationship with various departments. The type of work ranges from main campus entrance signs, building signs, directional finger post signs, door signs, vehicle graphics, post mounted signs, poster cases and much more.

Tanzania House

The Tanzania High Commission had existing built up letters on the wall, however some were damaged. They were initially looking for replacements for 2 letters, which were missing, but decided to have whole sign replaced. We advised a brushed stainless steel finish as it will wear better, after agreeing on a modern styling.
A quick turnaround was very important as there was a very clear deadline of a visit from the Prime Minister of Tanzania. Access was a challenge due to outside steps going down to a basement level, so a lift was used.

Little Cherubs Nursery

Little Cherubs Nursery had an existing wooden sign which was rotting. They were looking for a metal replacement in the same design to replace it, giving it a fresh and clean look that would stand the test of time.
Signs Now were able to offer a fast turnaround and the customer is very happy with the results, having asked us to quote for a cut out logo on an exterior wall for another of their nurseries.
