Flat Cut Letters

The Guinness Partnership

, ,

The Guinness Partnership is a national provider of housing across England. They are one of the largest affordable housing and care providers across the country, owning and managing more than 60,000 homes and provide housing and care services for 120,000 customers. They were established over a 125 years ago by a great grandson of the founder of the Guinness brewery.

Signs Now first started supplying signs to Guinness in 2008. We won the first tender based upon our Value for Money, our Quality Systems, Health & Safety procedures, Insurances, Qualifications and our capability to undertake National Coverage all In-House.

We have supplied well over 2000 signs across the country in offices & housing sites & complexes. We have continued our relationship with them to this day currently working on a new test site in London which will then be adopted across the country.

Eagle Strategic Properties, Cheltenham

Late last year we were consulted to provide an impressive main entrance sign into Eagle Tower, Cheltenham. We provided ideas and colour options all mocked up onto photographs so the customer could visualise the possibilities. We produced individual stainless steel letters with LED illumination inside each letter so at night a subtle halo light is cast back onto the grey fascia.

Christ College, Brecon

, , , ,

Christ College in Brecon is one of Britain’s most ancient schools; For three hundred years it was a Dominican friary before King Henry VIII established a school here in 1541 by Royal Charter. In 1855 the modern ‘public’ school was founded by Act of Parliament and they currently cater for around 350 pupils.

In 2011 Signs Now were invited to consult and quote on the supply of complete new signage for the school. Existing signs were aged (see right above) and not portraying the right image for the school.

Our first step was to visit the college and undertake a full site survey based upon their ideas and needs along with us suggesting signs looking at things from an outsiders’ point of view.

We then sat down and talked through options providing examples of previous projects along with samples. Once we had agreed on the ideal solutions we then produced a full itemised quotation along with a set of proposal drawings. The college provided us with their branding so we could do these drawings superimposed onto photos to accompany the quotation. The time and attention spent on detail during the survey, drawings and quote enabled the school to see exactly what was being proposed so they could make informed decisions on the ways forward.

As with all similar projects, all signs were then produced and fitted by qualified in house installers. We supplied a range of different Deluxe Post & Panel signs, and many wall mounted box tray signs.

All signs have been favorably received as Kieran Dempsey, Bursar of Christ College points out in the following testimonial.

Oriental Wellbeing

The customer at Oriental Wellbeing was looking for low cost signage that looked like luxury. There was an existing wooden fascia so flat cut letters were all that was required, plus self adhesive vinyl window graphics and letters applied to the wall behind the reception desk.
For the letters being applied to the fascia, Michael took some colour swatches to choose from and the customer loved the gold. The customer made his decision quickly and Signs Now were able to deliver a fast turnaround. The result is a luxury finish achieved within a limited budget.

The Brackenbury Wine Rooms

, ,

The Brackenbury Wine Rooms Hammersmith is a stylish new wine house, which needed new signage to not only suit its renovated building, but also match its other restaurants across high end South West. The solution was a combination of flat cut letters, a hanging projecting sign and etched effect vinyl window graphics, which, when put together, give the look that the customer was envisaging.

Elim Pentecostal Church

Elim Pentecostal Church in Wimbledon had the problem of being based in the middle of an industrial estate. The building’s sheer size offered lots of options but budget was an issue. We worked with them and decided to go for lots of large impressive non-illuminated signage using flat cut letters instead of a few illuminated signs.

Ealing Independent College

, ,

The entire exterior of Gloucester Independent College’s building went through a face lift turning the college from a concrete block to a modern eco looking building. Therefore the college needed modern signage to fit in with its new look, which came in the form of flat cut letters, dibond panel wall signs and office tech signs.

City of Angels

City of Angels is a new salon based in West Ham, South West. They needed a quick turnaround as they needed a sign before the business could open. Therefore artwork was decided on a second visit in the same week and installation took place the week after. Our team installed flat cut letters to the fascia sign as well as internally on the wall, plus a hanging projecting sign.

Charterhouse Voice & Data

Charterhouse Voice and Data in Shoreditch were looking to update existing signs with a modern new look. We installed flat cut letters applied to a deluxe fascia, giving a professional look with a 3D effect
