Wall Signs

The Guinness Partnership

, ,

The Guinness Partnership is a national provider of housing across England. They are one of the largest affordable housing and care providers across the country, owning and managing more than 60,000 homes and provide housing and care services for 120,000 customers. They were established over a 125 years ago by a great grandson of the founder of the Guinness brewery.

Signs Now first started supplying signs to Guinness in 2008. We won the first tender based upon our Value for Money, our Quality Systems, Health & Safety procedures, Insurances, Qualifications and our capability to undertake National Coverage all In-House.

We have supplied well over 2000 signs across the country in offices & housing sites & complexes. We have continued our relationship with them to this day currently working on a new test site in London which will then be adopted across the country.

Christ College, Brecon

, , , ,

Christ College in Brecon is one of Britain’s most ancient schools; For three hundred years it was a Dominican friary before King Henry VIII established a school here in 1541 by Royal Charter. In 1855 the modern ‘public’ school was founded by Act of Parliament and they currently cater for around 350 pupils.

In 2011 Signs Now were invited to consult and quote on the supply of complete new signage for the school. Existing signs were aged (see right above) and not portraying the right image for the school.

Our first step was to visit the college and undertake a full site survey based upon their ideas and needs along with us suggesting signs looking at things from an outsiders’ point of view.

We then sat down and talked through options providing examples of previous projects along with samples. Once we had agreed on the ideal solutions we then produced a full itemised quotation along with a set of proposal drawings. The college provided us with their branding so we could do these drawings superimposed onto photos to accompany the quotation. The time and attention spent on detail during the survey, drawings and quote enabled the school to see exactly what was being proposed so they could make informed decisions on the ways forward.

As with all similar projects, all signs were then produced and fitted by qualified in house installers. We supplied a range of different Deluxe Post & Panel signs, and many wall mounted box tray signs.

All signs have been favorably received as Kieran Dempsey, Bursar of Christ College points out in the following testimonial.

Broadwalk Shopping Centre, Bristol

, , , ,

Broadwalk Shopping Centre in Bristol is a long established shopping destination based on the south side of the city and is a centre for the local community also staging events. Signs Now have been supplying all types of signs to Broadwalk for the last 13 years, and during that time we have developed a close working relationship based upon trust, efficiency and the supply of good quality signs. We have undertaken signs not only for the centre itself but for several of the actual shops within.

Over the years, we have produced a whole multitude of signs including simple vinyl graphics, directional signs, health and safety signs, banners, aluminium and acrylic wall signs, large bespoke freestanding and projecting signs as well as fascia signs. Having in-house production capabilities makes the supply of large bespoke signs possible and means we can keep control of larger projects.

When working in and around a shopping centre we need to adhere to safe working practices, providing risk assessments and when required only working when there are no members of the public nearby. We sometimes need to work at height and have trained and qualified fitters capable of doing so. As Tim Maloney the Centre manager says, “I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Jerry and the crew at Signs Now for all the help and advice over the years during our refurbishments and re-branding work. We have used you for a number of years now and have always received a first class service with a prompt response and fast turnaround”.

Flip Out Trampoline Park, Wandsworth

Flip Out Trampoline Park in Wandsworth is part of High Fly Ltd who had taken over the site of a bingo hall which had been gutted and refurbished. This is their flagship branch and they are planning to do more around the South West area.

Signs Now were the last to quote and were able to be competitive. From then on the project moved quickly and we handled the planning applications on behalf of the customer. This also involved several meetings to ensure that the customer was completely happy.

The result is the installation of large industrial signs ready for opening.

Alligator Storage, Camden

Alligator Self Storage based in Camden were looking to rebrand, requiring several external signs. Michael visited the premises to quote but the customer already had their own artwork so it was a straightforward project, with flat wall signs manufactured inhouse at Signs Now to replace existing signage. One challenging sign in terms of installation was above the entrance to an underground carpark on the site. Our team of installers had to deal with continuing traffic whilst the sign was fitted.

Ealing Independent College

The entire exterior of Gloucester Independent College’s building went through a face lift turning the college from a concrete block to a modern eco looking building. Therefore the college needed modern signage to fit in with its new look, which came in the form of flat cut letters, dibond panel wall signs and office tech signs.

Shenstone School

Shenstone School in Dartford is spread across two sites. The new site needed brand new signs from advertising the location to directional signs, which were dibond panel wall signs and post and panel signs. Once this was completed we needed to complete the second site to tie in.
